Weddings at New Faith Church

A Covenant Before God

Wedding policy

At New Faith Church, we believe marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6). A Christian wedding is more than a celebration—it’s a worship service that honors Christ and invites His blessing on the couple’s new life together.

Our goal is to ensure every wedding held at New Faith reflects God’s design, is conducted in a spirit of joy and reverence, and treats the church facility as a place of worship.

Who May Be Married at New Faith

Weddings at New Faith Church are open to:

  • Members – individuals who have formally joined the church.

  • Regular Attenders – those actively participating in New Faith’s ministries.

  • Community Guests – couples from the community who agree to follow this policy and honor the church’s biblical standards.

Scheduling priority is given to members, then regular attenders, then community guests.
All weddings require pastoral approval and are subject to church calendar availability.

Pastoral Officiation & Counseling

  • Weddings must be officiated by the Senior Pastor or another Assemblies of God minister approved by the Pastor.

  • Outside ministers may participate only with prior approval.

  • Couples are required to complete premarital counseling (typically 3–4 sessions) at least two weeks before the ceremony.

  • The Pastor may decline to officiate ceremonies that do not align with biblical teaching (2 Corinthians 6:14).

Church Coordinator Requirement

A New Faith Church Coordinator is required for every wedding held in the facility, including those conducted by outside congregations or involving personal planners.

The Church Coordinator:

  • Serves as New Faith’s representative and main point of contact.

  • Oversees building access, rehearsal, and ceremony scheduling.

  • Coordinates sound/media setup and ensures compatibility with church systems.

  • Enforces facility guidelines (decor, conduct, timing, and cleanup).

  • Has final authority on all matters affecting church property, equipment, or staff.

Couples may hire their own event or wedding planner, but the Church Coordinator’s decisions govern all activity within the church facility.

Timeliness & Scheduling

  • Ceremonies must start at the scheduled time.

  • Building access ends at the agreed time, even if the ceremony starts late.

  • Weddings beginning 30 minutes or more late may incur an additional fee.

  • Couples are responsible for communicating timing expectations to their wedding party and vendors.

Sound & Media

  • All music and media must be submitted two weeks before the wedding (MP3/WAV audio files; MP4 or PowerPoint slides).

  • Files are tested during rehearsal with the church sound technician.

  • Only approved technicians may operate church sound, lighting, or livestream systems.

  • Music should reflect the sacred nature of Christian marriage.
