Introduction
Have you ever felt like God was asking too much of you? Maybe you’ve looked at your own abilities, your energy, or your resources and thought, “I can’t do this.” The truth is—you’re right. You can’t. But that’s exactly where God’s grace begins.
At New Faith Church, we believe the Christian life isn’t about proving our strength, but about relying on God’s. When we stop focusing on our insufficiency and start focusing on His sufficiency, we step into the kind of faith that changes lives and produces testimonies.
God Doesn’t Need You—But He Wants You
One of the most freeing truths of Scripture is that God doesn’t need us. He can accomplish His will without our help. Yet in His love, He invites us to participate. Why? Because He wants relationship. Every act of service, every step of obedience, every “yes” we give Him is an opportunity to walk closer with Him.
Your Insufficiency Has Already Been Accounted For
So often, we hesitate to step into what God is calling us to because we feel unqualified, unprepared, or simply too weak. But our insufficiency has already been factored into God’s plan. He never called us to be the source of the miracle—we are simply the instruments. When God’s power moves through our weakness, He alone gets the glory.
Testimonies Are Born in Weakness
Think back to your greatest breakthroughs. Chances are, they didn’t come in seasons of comfort. They came when you were tired, discouraged, or ready to give up. That’s where God shows up in undeniable ways. And when He does, the testimony doesn’t just encourage you—it encourages everyone who hears it.
Staying Humble in the Miracle
Miracles are not about us; they’re about Him. The danger comes when we begin to take credit or become the focus. True humility means pointing people back to God and letting them see that He alone is the miracle worker. Our role is to stay surrendered and available.
Even If You’ve Failed Before…
Many of us carry the weight of past failures. We think our mistakes disqualify us. But Scripture reminds us that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Even if you’ve stumbled, God can still use you. In fact, your story may become the very testimony someone else needs to keep going.
Conclusion
Our calling isn’t easy—and it’s not supposed to be. If it were, we wouldn’t need God. But the good news is that where we fall short, He is more than enough. So instead of waiting until we feel “ready,” let’s step forward in faith, trusting that His power will carry us through.
At New Faith Church, we are here to help you take your next step in faith—whether that’s finding a place to serve, connecting with others, or growing deeper in grace.
